This is a old school picture of Will with some of his mission buddies. I am worried about my sweet husband because we took him to the otolaryngologist, which is the Ear, Nose and Throat doctor, who turns out to be a member of the Castle Pines Ward. We made the appointment to try and see about getting his tonsils out to help with his snoring. Well, during the appointment, Dr. Walker felt his thyroid gland and felt a nodule on it and wanted the nodule ultrasounded. Will got the ultrasound and Dr. Walker is concerned enough about the results, that he wants the nodule biopsied and if it is cancer or questionable at all, he will have his thyroid removed, as well as his tonsils and have his septum fixed, which is attributed to his snoring. So, needless to say, when an OCD nurse hears the possibility of cancer, I assume the worst and have been in tears for days thinking I am going to be a widow. On the other hand, Will always thinks everything is going to be fine and wasn't even phased when Dr. Walker told him the news. I will post when the biopsy is done, but if you have a chance, please say a prayer for Will.

Maegan I'm sorry to hear about Will. I will pray for him. Keep us posted when you find out more.
Maegan, I'm so sorry to hear this. It's just one thing after another with you guys! You'll be in my prayers.
I almost couldn't even tell which one was will. Hats don't help. We will keep him in our prayers, and you too!!
so sorry about will. my cousin's husband just had a tumor removed from his thyroid. he's fine now, i'm not sure if it was malignant or not, but it was a big scare. but you're taking action and that's always a good thing!
WOW that is not the news you want to hear! I am so sorry Maegan! I will definately keep him in my prayers! It is really good to find you though, thanks for leaving a coment so I could know where you are. God bless!
Maegan,
I just ran across your blog and read your last post. I wanted to reassure you that everything will be okay, I can speak from experience. I was diagnosed with malignant thyroid cancer when I was 18... I am 25 now. They took my thyroid out, and treated me with radioactive iodine. It came back last year, so I had another surgery. I am going to tell you what my doctor told me, thyroid cancer is the cancer to get, meaning that it is so easily treated and very very rarely metastisizes to other organs. Your husband will be on synthroid for the rest of his life, and live a completley normal life and you will be able to put all of this behind you! If you have any questions or need someone to talk to let me know! I am here!
I'm sorry to hear this! I hope, of course, that it was nothing. It sounds like thyroid cancer, while certainly not what you want to hear, would be treatable. You're in my prayers!
