I am blogging really fast before I have to start getting ready for work. We have been busy and I wanted to put an update about what is going on in the Nelson Family.
Will is loving his job at Springbok Services. He comes home everyday smiling, which is such a refreshing change. He has so much fun with the girls on the weekends while I am at work. It is such a blessing that he has found a job that he loves and wants to excel at, and the icing on the top is that it is pretty good pay as well.
I have been busy cleaning up the house from the neglect it suffered when it had another caretaker for awhile. I am excited because we are putting French Doors in and finally will get the painting in the kitchen and family room finished by a painting company, because Will did not get it done. We are also getting cabinets in the laundry room and some more cabinets in our master bath. These are projects we have been wanting to do for awhile and since we kind of feel like we will not be leaving this house anytime in the near future, we might as well make our house exactly how we want it so we will want to stay. The girls and I are adjusting to mom being home during the week and it has been a little hard. They both love their father and he was much easier on them than I am, so there is going to be an adjustment period.
Ellie has a surgery coming up soon. She has been plagued by enormously large tonsils, courtesy of her father and they are so huge they are kissing her uvula and every time she gets a sore throat or any congestion, she ends up with double ear infections, EVERY TIME! So, we took her to a ENT, Dr. Clark Walker, who is actually in the Castle Pines Ward and she will be getting her tonsils out March 19Th. She also cannot hear due to large amounts of fluid behind her ear drums. I feel really bad because I was getting really frustrated at her because I felt like she was not listening and I was really thinking that she was deliberately ignoring me, but Heavenly Father impressed with the thought that maybe she really cannot hear and low and behold, after a hearing test with the audiologist, she can't hear. So, with the tonsillectomy, she will also be getting tubes in her ears. Hopefully that will help her, but she now realizes that it is okay to admit that she cannot hear and she won't get in trouble, so she has been really good about just telling us and her teachers at school that she couldn't hear. Other than that, she LOVES preschool and ballet and is thriving. Abby is getting to be a two year old with a MAJOR attitude. She is so adorable though, so we can look past the tantrums that she has recently been throwing. She wants to go to school with Ellie so bad. She and I have so much fun together when Ellie is at school, but she misses her sister and about a half an hour before Ellie is let out of preschool, Abby is asking if it is time to pick up Ellie. She is expressing herself, sometimes very forcefully and has so much personality.
So that is what has been going on at the Nelson's. Hopefully I will get more into the blog postings again.

Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! I'm so happy to hear that Will has found a great job and you're getting your house just as you desire! Yippee! Thanks for sharing the great news!!!
I'm so happy that Will got a job! I hope Ellie's surgery goes smoothly! Kids are great at adjusting to change. They'll get used to the Mama being home soon enough!
I was sitting here amazed at all of your home improvements, and now realizing how jealous I am!! So Corbin needs tubes too! Yet to be scheduled. I have head great things! Just make sure you remember that she will be hearing things "for the first time" so be aware!
oh and i loved the memory you added to on my post. Everytime I wear that swim suit or that piece from victoria secret I remember our little trip together!
That's great that Will enjoys his job and that you can be home more! And I hope everything goes well with Ellie's surgery!
Yea for no more ear infections! We have a little friend who is having a similar surgery tomorrow...tonsils, tubes and something else, I forget. Good luck! I hope you're enjoying your girls...they're beautiful!
Poor Ellie! We love you guys and are praying for you, ALWAYS!!! Come over for Conference. . . it's worth thinking about:)
My 7 year old and my husband had their tonsils out a year ago. Pediasure was a lifesaver for us. They were so hungry and so weak from eating just jell-0 and other soft foods that I gave them this. Once they got the vitamins in them they perked right up. I have 2 kids with tubes too and I have a referral for my baby to get them as well. It is nice to have kids able to hear you for a change.
