We took Abby to the doctor today for her almost 9 month appointment. She has always been small, but today she only weighed 13 pounds. So she is even more tiny for her age. Her pediatrician and I decided that it was time to draw some blood work to see it we can attribute her small stature to anything medical. She had to get poked three times and had some major bruises on her arms. She also had to have a urine bag placed on her private areas to try and catch some urine. Not very fun, and then on top of it she has been battling diaper rash and the area where the bag was stuck to her was already irritated. Hopefully everything will be all right. Some parts of me hope that they find something so we can do something to make her better, but the other parts hope nothing is wrong.

Maegan, don't you hate having your kids poked and prodded? Mckay had to have a catheter (sp?) in when he was in the hospital a few weeks ago, and it made me so sad! I hope everything is okay with Abby! She is sure beautiful!
Oh, I hate giving the kiddos any kinds of shots, drawing blood. It's never fun. You probably have nothing to worry about, Teyah only weighed 14 pounds at 13 months, and she's as healthy as can be, just small. BTW, both your kids are scrumptious!
