Strep Throat

Ellie had been running a fever since Sunday, the 16th, but I was determined not to take her to the doctor and have the pediatrician say "It's just a virus." So, the fever continued and then she started getting sores around her mouth. Then her fever peaked at 103.6 degrees, despite alternating Tylenol and Motrin, so we took her to the doctor. He swabbed her throat and HOORAY, IT WAS NOT A VIRUS. Not that I am happy she had strep throat, but she was getting really whiny and nothing was helping, but the antibiotics are doing the job!!!
